Valencia have chosen Gennaro Gattuso as their new manager for a two-year contract.
The 44-year-old has been without a club since leaving Napoli in May 2021, where he won the Coppa Italia the year before.
Gattuso, a former Italy midfielder, was chosen Fiorentina manager last summer but left the club before his formal start date.
Gattuso replaces Jose Bordalas, who was fired on Friday after 13 years as an AC Milan player.
Valencia, the six-time Spanish champion, finished eighth in La Liga in 2021-22.
