Yaya Toure, a former midfielder for the Ivory Coast and Manchester City, has expressed his joy upon the completion of his UEFA A-License from FA Wales.

The Welsh institution’s programme attracted the 39-year-old since last year as he sought to transfer from playing to coaching, and he is now completely qualified to take the plunge.

Toure spent days at Tottenham working with academy personnel and players as he sought to finish the course while pursuing his badges.

When sharing his award on social media on Monday, Toure added, “You never stop learning in this game.

He was a member of the legendary 2009 Barcelona team that captured six trophies in one season.

Touré transferred to Manchester City in 2010, where he scored several important goals, including the lone goals in the 2011 FA Cup semifinal and championship. Additionally, he contributed to City’s first league championship in 44 years.

From 2004 to 2015, Touré won 100 caps for the Ivory Coast, playing for his country in the 2006, 2010, and 2014 FIFA World Cup competitions.

Additionally, he represented them in six Africa Cup of Nations tournaments in 2006, 2008, 2010, 2012, 2013, and 2015, leading them to triumph in 2015 and helping them finish runners-up in both 2006 and 2012.

Kolo Touré, who was his teammate at Manchester City and for the national team, is his younger brother.
