Pep Guardiola has rubbished reports suggesting that Brazillian superstar Neymar could join Manchester City this summer.

The 30-year-old Brazil international has been linked to Premier League powerhouses after new PSG manager Christophe Galtier claimed that some decisions are outside of his control amid rumors that the forward would depart the club during this transfer window.

Neymar, an ex-Barcelona winger who has never played in England, has been linked to the Citizens in some sections of the French media, but Guardiola has quickly denied that is the case.

“I’m sorry for Le Parisien but it’s not true,” he said in a press conference for City’s pre-season game against Club America.

“Their information is not right, Neymar is an incredible player and the information I have he’s an incredibly nice guy.

“But it’s not right. Every summer Manchester City are going to buy 150 players.”

After that, Guardiola declared that Oleksandr Zinchenko will shortly follow Raheem Sterling and Gabriel Jesus out the door and that internal discussions will determine whether or not further players will be recruited.

Since joining PSG in 2017, Neymar has scored 100 goals and assisted on another 60 in 144 games.
