When Manchester City hosts Nottingham Forest at the Etihad Stadium on Wednesday night, they will be looking to make it two straight victories in the Premier League.

Forest will face Man City for the first time since the Reds defeated the Citizens 3-0 in an FA Cup match in January 2009, and this will be their first league encounter since the Citizens also defeated the Citizens 3-0 in Manchester in March 2002.
The last time the two-time winners of the European Cup defeated Man City in the league was in a Division One match that took place in December 1997, when they won 3-2.
With four points from their first four games, Steve Cooper’s team has had a promising start to the 2022–23 season, moving them up to 14th place in the standings.
