With Arsenal extending their lead at the top of the Premier League table to five, Manchester City will look to catch up once again when they face Newcastle United on Saturday.

City have suffered just one loss in their last five games in the Premier League while winning three in that time compared to Newcastle’s one win in the last five.

Pep Guardiola’s side were 4-1 winners over Bournemouth in their last league win with Phil Foden starring in the game.

Newcastle will face City on the back of a 2-0 loss in the final of the Carabao Cup last weekend against Manchester United at Wembley.

After a brilliant campaign in the first of the season which saw them in the top four, the Magpies have dropped to fifth on the league table though they have two outstanding games still to play.

A win for City will move them to two points behind Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal with eight more games to be played.

The earlier fixture between Man City and Newcastle ended in an enthralling fashion with both teams scoring three times each in a six-goal thriller.
