Porto will have to do it the hard way if they are to book a place in the next round of the UEFA Champions League when they face Inter Milan at home on Tuesday.
The Portuguese side have to overcome a 0-1 deficit to advance at the expense of the Serie A side after losing the earlier meeting between these two.
The last meeting Porto and Inter before this year’s clash was in the group stage of the 2005/06 Champions League, where each side recorded a win at home.
However, the settings are bit different this time with Inter posing a slim advantage in the last 16 over the Primeira Liga side.
Porto have been a better side following back-to-back defeats to Inter and Gil Vicente and have recorded wins over Chaves and Estoril in the last two weeks, scoring goals in the process.
Inter will have to be wary of the fact that Porto have progressed in the last two editions they have reached the last 16 of the Champions League (2019 and 2021).
Porto will go into the game without the services of Octavio, who was sent off in the reverse fixture in Milan.
Andre Onana, who played a key role for Inter in the last meeting will return in goal ahead of Samir Handanovic.
With suspension all over, the game at Estadio do Dragao promises more drama compared to the earlier clash.
