England forward Harry Kane said he is not ruling out scoring a century of goals for the Three Lions.

The 29-year-old struck a penalty in Thursday’s 2-1 win against Italy in the Euro 2024 qualifying match to surpass Wayne Rooney as England’s all-time leading scorer with 54 goals.

He scored in the 2-0 victory over Ukraine on Sunday, his 55th addition in 82 games for Gareth Southgate’s men.

At age 29, the Tottenham Hotspur striker believes he still has time on his hands to score 100 goals for the national team although it could be tough.

“Getting 100 will be tough for sure, but I never count out anything,” said the Tottenham forward.

“I am still young – I am 29, I am still fit and strong. I want to play for England for as long as I can.”

“Every game there is I will be putting myself forward to try and play,” added Kane.

“We will take it step-by-step. The next step will be trying to get into the sixties.

“A hundred is not out of the question. It will be extremely tough but we will have to see how the next few years go.”

The Spurs forward is one of six Englishmen with more than 40 goals for their country. 16 of his international goals came in 2021, which is the record for England in a calendar year.
