Two of Liverpool’s key players Virgil Van Dijk and Mohamed Salah set to miss the club’s penultimate league game against Southampton on Tuesday.

With the Champions League final less than two weeks away, both were forced to leave the pitch early during Saturday’s FA Cup final win against Chelsea. Jurgen Klopp will ‘take no risks’ with two of his key players as a result.

Klopp, on the other hand, is expected to make “a slew of changes.” Joe Gomez, James Milner, and Kostas Tsimikas are among the Reds’ likely starters.

It’s unclear whether both Salah and Van Dijk will be risked in Liverpool’s final Premier League match of the season on Sunday.

Liverpool remain four points behind leaders Manchester City but the Reds play their game in hand against Southampton in midweek.

Jurgen Klopp’s men still have a slim chance of winning the league title but will need a favour from Aston Villa on the final day whilst Liverpool also need to win all their remaining games.
