Nigeria have announced their squad to face Ghana in the two-legged 2022 World Cup play-offs scheduled for later this month.

The Super Eagles publicly released the squad list on social media on Friday morning.

Ademola Lookman will be looking to make his debut against Ghana after receiving his first call-up since naturalising for the Super Eagles.

Taiwo Awoniyi, who was Nigeria’s main striker at the 2021 AFCON, has been relegated to the standby list in the squad.

Alex Iwobi also misses out on the squad due to a red card he picked up against Tunisia in the 2021 AFCON.

Nigeria will look to make a 7th appearance at the World Cup and feature in Qatar.

The first leg of the play-off will take place on March 25 in Ghana and the second leg will take place on March 29 in Nigeria.
