The head coach for Asante Kotoko, Prosper Narteh Ogum has expressed content to his team’s performance in the draw against Hearts of Oak on Sunday afternoon.

The highly-rated tactician was on the touchline today when the Porcupine Warriors drew 0-0 in the first Super Clash of the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League season.

Speaking in his post-match interview, Coach Prosper Narteh Ogum indicated that although his team failed to score after creating several chances, he was impressed with the display of his players.

“It was a wonderful performance from my side, we looked very compact, we played some good possession in the middle of the park, created a few chances we could have scored but then we couldn’t convert them. Coming on the road to come and play in the manner we played I think is good for the boys, is good for the team, and is good for teams confidence,” the former WAFA SC gaffer shared.

Coach Prosper Nartey Ogum continued, “The chances came but then we couldn’t convert. Sometimes that is how the game is, you get your chances, you don’t convert them and sometimes you lose and sometimes too it ends in a stalemate. So even though we’ve been scoring two, three goals in every game, I think we had the chances but we were unable to score, so it’s okay.”

Despite dropping two points today, Asante Kotoko gets to finish top of the Ghana Premier League table at the end of the first round of the campaign.
