Former Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan is expected to return as a pundit for SuperSports for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

The 36-year-old served as a pundit for SuperSport during the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon where he impressed although Ghana was knocked out of the group stages.

The former Sunderland striker will join a star-studded list of pundits including Jay Jay Okocha, Gaizka Mendieta, Owen Hargreaves, Michael Owen and Jaap Stam.

After taking his courses in Wales, Gyan recently obtained his UEFA license B coaching badge.

He is Ghana and Africa’s highest scorer at the World Cup after featuring in the 2006, 2010, and 2014 editions.

Ghana, who are making their fourth appearance, have been placed in Group H alongside Portugal, South Korea and Uruguay.
