Manchester United vs West Ham United prediction, odds and preview

Manchester United will play as host to West Ham United in the fifth round of the English FA Cup on Wednesday night with the aim of continuing their quadruple charge this season.

The Red Devils won their first title in six years on Sunday after beating Newcastle United in the final of the Carabao Cup thanks to goals from Casemiro and Marcus Rashford.

Erik ten Hag’s side now turn their attention to the FA Cup game against West Ham looking to book a slot in the next round.

Man United recorded 3-1 wins over Everton and Reading en route to reaching this stage of the competition while West Ham saw off competition from Brentford and Derby County as well in the previous rounds.

The Hammers are yet to record a win over the Red Devils in their last four meetings in the FA Cup with the latter winning three times during the time (D1).

The last West Ham win over Man United came in September 2021 in the first round of the Premier League but have failed to get anything from the last two games in the competition, losing 0-1 on both occasions.

David Moyes will look to grab a win over his former side but will be wary of the current form of Man United at Old Trafford. Ten Hag’s men are yet to lose at the Theatre of Dreams since the 0-1 loss to Real Sociedad in the group stage of the UEFA Europa League earlier in September 2022.
