Napoli manager Luciano Spalletti is confident Victor Osimhen will be fully fit for the second leg of their UEFA Champions League quarterfinal tie with AC Milan next weekend.
With 21 Serie A goals this season and four goals in five Champions League games, as Napoli advanced to the last eight, Osimhen leads the team’s scoring chart.
However, the Nigerian has not played for the club following the end of the March international window, where he featured in the Super Eagles games against Guinea Bissau in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
Napoli suffered a 0-1 defeat away from home in the first leg against Milan as Ismael Bennacer‘s first-half strike proved the difference on Wednesday, April 12.
But Spalletti says Osimhen should be available for the reverse fixture in Naples.
“Victor Osimhen will 100 per cent be available for the return leg at (Stadio Diego Armando) Maradona on Tuesday. He will be there,” Spalletti told Sky Sport Italia.
“He was rested today and in Saturday’s match to complete the work done by the doctors, then anything can happen.”
Napoli will also be without the services of Frank Zambo Anguissa and Kim Min-jae who are both suspended.
