After a convincing 6-1 win over Leeds United in their last game, Liverpool have the right to play with confidence again.

Jurgen Klopp put up one of their best Premier League performances when they took all three points at the Elland Road against Leeds.

However, on Saturday, the game will be quite different against tricky opposition that is seeking to escape relegation at the end of the season.

The Reds host Nottingham Forest at Anfield looking to continue their new-found form and manoeuvre their way to contesting for a place in Europe next season.

Liverpool are nine points behind Newcastle United in the fourth and final Champions League spot, so Klopp’s side are mathematically still capable of forcing their way back into Europe’s premier competition, and a kind finish to the season sees the Reds face only one other Big Six side in a faltering Tottenham Hotspur before the curtain closes on a chaotic campaign.

Forest were on the losing side last weekend as they fell short to Manchester United, losing 0-2 with goals from Antony and Diogo Dalot.

The Tricky Trees are without a win in their last ten Premier League games, having lost each of their last three, and travel to Anfield in 18th place – albeit only behind Everton on goal difference.

The earlier meeting between these two teams in the Premier League saw Taiwo Awoniyi return to hurt his former club as he scored the early goal in a 1-0 victory for Steve Cooper’s side.
