After catching up with Arsenal in midweek, Manchester City could go top of the Premier League table at the end of April with a trip to London up next for Pep Guardiola’s side.

City take a trip to face Fulham on Sunday knowing that a win them will see them surpass Arsenal and jump to the top of the league table with a game in hand.

Guardiola’s boys were ruthless against the Gunners in midweek as they recorded a 4-1 victory over Mikel Arteta’s side.

A brace from Kevin de Bruyne and a goal each from John Stones and Erling Haaland were enough for the Cityzens in their quest to defend the Premier League title.

Manchester City have a 17-match unbeaten streak heading into Sunday’s clash, having notched 14 wins and three draws since their last loss.

Fulham, on the other hand, suffered a 0-1 loss to Aston Villa in their last league game and will be targeting a return to winning ways when they host Manchester City at Craven Cottage.

Aleksandar Mitrovic’s eight-game suspension for assaulting referee Chris Kavanagh and Fulham’s deteriorating play are unsurprising given that the important striker scored 11 goals in 21 league appearances prior to his suspension.

City have played Fulham twice already this season winning on both occasions, 4-1 in the FA Cup and 2-1 in the league with 10 men.

Their last meeting saw Haaland score a 96th-minute penalty to hand Guardiola’s boys all three points at the Etihad with the game at 1-1 before the spot kick.
