Manchester United will hope to finish in third position in the Premier League league when they host Fulham at Old Trafford in the final fixture of the 2022-23 season.

The Red Devils sealed a place in next season’s Champions League with a 4-1 victory against Chelsea on Thursday evening, while Fulham, who are currently 10th in the Premier League, are going into the encounter off the back of a 2-2 draw with London rivals Crystal Palace last weekend.

A point would ultimately have been enough for Manchester United to qualify for the Champions League, but they secured all three with a superb performance, moving them into third place, two points ahead of fourth-placed Newcastle United, who will end their season away to Chelsea.

Man United have won their past three games against Wolves, Bournemouth, and Chelsea, following consecutive defeats to Brighton & Hove Albion and West Ham United, and their home form has been crucial to their success this season.

The Red Devils have earned 45 points from 18 league games at Old Trafford this season, conceding only nine times, giving them the greatest home defensive record in the Premier League.

Fulham, on the other hand, have secured back-to-back seasons in the Premier League for the first time since 2014, and they have done so in style, with a fantastic campaign that has seen them pick up 52 points from 37 matches and sit in 10th place in the standings.
