Mikel Arteta has responded to reports linking him to the vacant managerial role at Paris Saint-Germain claiming g he is ‘happy’ at Arsenal.

Last week, it was reported that PSG sporting director Luis Campos had approached Arteta about taking over as manager in place of Christophe Galtier, who was sacked at the end of the 2022/23 season.

However, the Arsenal manager has stated that he has unfinished business at the Premier League club and is willing to stay.

Arteta almost succeeded in winning Arsenal a first Premier League title since the 2003/04 season but fell short in the latter stages of the season despite being on top of the table for 247 days.

“I can only say that I am happy at Arsenal. I feel loved, valued by our owners, Stan and Josh [the two Kroenkes], and I have a lot to do here at this club. I am happy and tremendously grateful to be at Arsenal,” Arteta told Marca when asked about interest from the Ligue 1 champions.

Arsenal are moving quickly in the transfer market in order to improve the squad for next season. They are on the verge of signing Kai Havertz from Chelsea and are also in a race for West Ham United’s Declan Rice with Manchester City also interested.
