Only PSG can afford Victor Osimhen – Napoli President

The President of Napoli Aurelio De Laurentiis has revealed the only club that can pay for the transfer fee of Victor Osimhen is Paris Saint-Germain.

The Nigeria international has been linked with several moves away from the Serie A champions after his role last season for them.

Osimhen scored 26 goals and provided five assists en route to Napoli ending an over 30-year wait to win their first Serie A title.

His performances last season have attracted interest from clubs such as Chelsea, Real Madrid, Manchester United and a host of others all credited with interest in the forward.

However, De Laurentiis believes only PSG are capable of affording the Nigerian.

“The only club that could afford Victor Osimhen is Paris Saint-Germain,” he told Mediaset.

“If Nasser Al Khelaifi wants to send in a bid around €200m… we wait and we see what happens.

“I personally think that Victor will stay here.”

While his comments may come as a way of putting Osimhen on the market, the player look set to stay at the club for another season with De Laurentiis confirming in an earlier interview.

“We will see Victor Osimhen wearing our shirt next season, that’s for sure. Then if a ‘more than indecent’ proposal arrives, we will move on and find another top talent as we did with Kvaratskhelia and Osimhen,” he noted.
