Carlo Ancelotti has refused to talk about reports of him taking over the Brazil national team claiming he will honour his Real Madrid contract.
The Italian manager is under contract at the Santiago Bernabeu until June 2024 and has been heavily linked with the vacant coaching job in Brazil.
According to several reports, Ancelotti will take over the national team assignment after his contract expires at the end of the 2023/24 season.
However, there are concerns his attention could be divided in the course of the season due to the Brazil job.
But the gaffer says he is committed to the Spanish side ahead of the start of the new season.
“I will never talk about Brazil, about what is going to happen,” the Madrid boss told reporters in Los Angeles, where his side will play their first of four pre-season friendlies on Sunday against AC Milan at the Rose Bowl.
“I am the coach of Real Madrid and I am staying here. I will never talk about this matter again,” Ancelotti insisted.
It is unknown whether his comments will put to bed rumours of joining the Selecao but the South Americans are willing to wait for him.
