Andre Onana has expressed his delight to join Manchester United after completing his move to Old Trafford.

The 27-year-old signed a five-year deal for the Premier League club last week after his decision to leave Inter Milan.

Onana is set to take over from David de Gea who left the club following the expiration of his contract at the end of the season.

The move to United also sees the Cameroon international link up once again with Erik ten Hag, who he worked with at Ajax.

Speaking in his first interview with the club’s media, the goalkeeper said he was excited to have joined the club.

“I’m very excited. For me, it’s a big honour. It’s a big privilege to be part of this big club, part of this family,” Andre said.

“Of course, Manchester United is one of the biggest clubs in the world and I have some friends who were playing here.

“I also had the opportunity to work with Edwin van der Sar when I was playing for Ajax back in the day, so I know quite a lot about this big club.”

Onana is expected to wear the No.24 shirt at Manchester United for the upcoming season.
