Manchester City will look to defend their Premier League title for a fourth time when they visit Turf Moor on Friday to face Burnley.

The Cityzens had a historic 2022/23 season winning the Premier League, FA Cup, and UEFA Champions League for the first time.

Guardiola’s side had a little blip last weekend losing the FA Community Shield to Arsenal on penalties.

However, City will be confident heading into the new season with signings such as Josko Gvardiol from RB Leipzig and Chelsea’s expected the hit the ground running.

Next up for the Manchester-based club is a Burnley side coached by City legend Vincent Kompany, who won the Championship on his first attempt with cheeky ease.

Burnley has been very proactive this summer transfer window, bringing in nine players, including Zeki Amdouni of Switzerland and England Under 21 goalkeeper James Trafford from City for a combined fee of £36 million.

Last season when these two sides met in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup, Erling Haaland made the difference scoring a hat-trick as City cruised to a 6-0 win.
