Toni Kroos should have five Ballon d’Ors – Joselu

Real Madrid forward Joselu believes teammate Toni Kroos is a better player than what people have seen claiming the Germany international deserves to have five Ballon d’Or titles.

Madrid has started the season strongly, with a perfect record after four games.  Jude Bellingham has dominated the headlines after 5 goals in 4 games, but one player in particular has stuck out for new acquisition Joselu.

Kroos has only started one of those matches, but he came on last weekend against Getafe and improved Madrid’s game. Kroos considered retiring last year, but has stayed and capped his first start of the season with an assist for Bellingham against Almeria.

“Kroos should have five Ballon d’Ors!” Joselu told Diario AS.

“He is an incredible player, capable of changing a game. He is one of the players who has caught my attention the most at Real Madrid. He never loses a ball and plays with a level-headedness that makes him different. It’s a pleasure to play with him.”

Kroos completed exactly that against Getafe. Kroos has started the season well, as he did last year. Prior to the Qatar World Cup, he was undoubtedly Real Madrid’s most critical player last season.

Both he and Luka Modric face stiff competition for positions this season, with Aurelien Tchouameni, Federico Valverde, Bellingham, and Eduardo Camavinga all vying for spots.
