After a poor start to their 2023/24 season, Sevilla are unbeaten in their last three games and face Barcelona in their next fixture.

Jose Luis Mendilibar’s side picked up three defeats in their first three games of the La Liga season and looked to be struggling but have picked up two wins and one draw in the last three games.

Barcelona, on the other hand, suffered a setback in midweek as they dropped points against Mallorca.

Just like last weekend, Xavi Hernandez’s boys conceded first and looked set to seal another comeback victory but Mallorca scored again before Fermin Lopez came from bench to tie the score.

The result saw Barcelona drop to third position on the league table after both Girona and Real Madrid picked up wins in their respective games.

However, the Blaugrana side have a chance to return to the top of the table with Madrid facing Girona this weekend while they come up against Sevilla.

Sevilla recorded a big win in midweek as they handed Almeria a 5-1 defeat at home. Youssef En-Nesyri, Dodi Lukebakio, Suso, Erik Lamela and Kike Salas all scored for Sevilla.

Sevilla are yet to win against Barcelona in any of their last six games across all competitions with their best being a draw in December 2021.

The game is set for Friday, September 29 with kickoff scheduled for 19:00 GMT.
