Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool will both be looking to extend their unbeaten Premier League runs when they meet in North London on Saturday evening.

Ange Postecoglou’s boys earned a point against arch-rivals Arsenal in a 2-2 draw last weekend, while the Reds recently defeated Leicester City 3-1 in the EFL Cup.

Tottenham did not have to worry about EFL Cup matters over the past few days due to their penalty-shootout defeat at Fulham, but while the extra rest will help them against an in-form Liverpool, conceding five goals in their last three games will not.

Tottenham have started the season well, sitting fourth in the Premier League table with four wins and two draws from six league games prior to the encounter against Liverpool.

Both teams are unbeaten in the league, so it will be intriguing to see who wins this one. Tottenham and Liverpool have both impressed this season with their free-flowing attacking style, so this should be an exciting match.

Liverpool has a strong head-to-head record versus the North London club. They cannot, however, afford to underestimate Tottenham. The home team earned a well-deserved point against Arsenal and will be full of confidence going into this encounter.

Liverpool have not been defeated by Tottenham since a 4-1 thrashing in October 2017 – going 12 games unbeaten and doing the double over the Lilywhites last season – but this will be the Reds’ first taste of the bouncy Tottenham Hotspur Stadium atmosphere with Postecoglou barking instructions from the touchline.
