West Ham United will look to make it three wins in a row in all competitions when they hit the road to face Freiburg on Thursday.
Freiburg of the Bundesliga will visit David Moyes’ West Ham United on Matchday 2 of the Europa League group stage. Both teams won to start their Europa League campaigns and will now try to build on that success.
West Ham’s only defeats have come at the hands of Manchester City and Liverpool with David Moyes’ side winning the remaining six matches in all competitions since August 20.
That comes at a time when West Ham is still in a phase of transition, as evidenced by their vulnerability against Backa Topola on matchday one.
West Ham came from behind to win 3-1 at the London Stadium, with Mohammed Kudus scoring his first two goals since signing from Ajax.
West Ham has subsequently won and kept a clean sheet against Lincoln City and Sheffield United before travelling to Germany this week.
Freiburg faced Olympiacos on Matchday 1 of the UEFA Europa League, and they won 3-2. It was a tough battle between two strong teams. However, the German club emerged victorious thanks to their play in the final third.
They are unbeaten in their past three games and will try to extend that streak when they face West Ham United. The German team comes into this match on the back of a 2-0 win against Augsburg and will be confident of putting up a good fight.
The game is scheduled for a 16:45 GMT kickoff.
