Chelsea will be playing for a third successive win when they face Burnley at Turf Moor on Saturday.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side have won back-to-back games in their last two matches against Brighton and Hove Albion and Fulham.

The Blues will be hoping Burnley joins on the list of teams to have been defeated even as they go through a transitional period under the Argentine.

Chelsea re not the only side oozing confidence ahead of the game. Vincent Kompany’s side are also in a buoyant mood having beaten Luton Town to claim their first three points of the season in midweek.

Burnley needed time adjusting to life back in the Premier League following their promotion, but they won their first game at the seventh attempt against fellow new boys Luton.

Lyle Foster and Jacob Bruun Larsen scored for the Clarets in the win on Tuesday to lift their confidence ahead of the game against Chelsea.

The Clarets also need to strengthen their defence as they have allowed 16 goals and failed to keep a clean sheet in seven league games so far this season.

However, keeping Chelsea quiet on Saturday may be difficult because the Blues have scored in all 16 of their previous Premier League encounters with the Lancashire-based team, winning 11 times in the process.

The game is scheduled for a 14:00 GMT at Turf Moor.
