Real Madrid will look to make it four wins in a row in all competitions when they host Osasuna in Spain’s top flight on Saturday afternoon.

Los Blancos now lead the La Liga table with 21 points after their first eight games, while Osasuna are in 10th place with 10 points from their first eight games in 2023/24.

Madrid have had an outstanding response since losing 3-1 to Atletico Madrid in the Madrid derby back on September 24, with the club winning their past three matches in all categories, including league victories over Las Palmas and Girona, to move them to the top of the standings heading into the next round of games.

The defeat against their arch-rivals is the only game Carlo Ancelotti’s boys have dropped points across all competitions this season.

In midweek, they were 3-2 winners over Serie A champions Napoli with Jude Bellingham and Vinicius Junior getting on the scoresheet.

Osasuna have not beaten Real Madrid in any competition since January 2011, and they were defeated 2-1 by Madrid in the Copa del Rey final at the end of last season.

However, Jagoba Arrasate’s team did earn a point in a 1-1 draw at the Bernabeu in La Liga last season, and the visitors will undoubtedly be the fresher of the two sides.

They haven’t been in action since a 2-0 triumph over Alaves in the league last weekend.

The game is scheduled for a 14:15 GMT kickoff on Saturday at the Santiago Bernabeu.
