After suffering their first Premier League defeat last weekend against Wolverhampton Wanderers, Manchester City seek redemption against Arsenal.

The Cityzens take a trip to London to face Mikel Arteta’s side who are yet to lose a game in the league in the 2023/24 season.

A Ruben Dias own goal and a Hee-Chan Hwang effort sealed victory for Wolves against Pep Guardiola’s side despite Julian Alvarez’s strike.

Until the defeat at Molineux, the reigning Premier League champions had never dropped a point this season in the domestic competition, winning the previous six.

Arsenal, on the other hand, have dropped four points already this campaign, drawing with Fulham and Tottenham Hotspur respectively.

However, the rest have been wins for Mikel Arteta’s boys including a win over City’s rivals, Manchester United.

Arsenal’a last league game was an emphatic win over Bournemouth. Bukayo Saka, Martin Odegaard, Kai Havertz and Ben White were all on the scoresheet for the Gunners.

Heading into the game against City, Havertz would be relieved following his maiden for the club against the Cherries.

Arsenal’s last victory over City in the Premier League was way back in 2015 when they recorded a 2-1 home win.

Since then, the Manchester-based side have had the upper hand over the Gunners with just two draws recorded since then.

Arsenal, however, beat City earlier this season when the recorded a penalty shootout win the Community Shield.

The game is set for a 3:30 p.m. kickoff on Sunday.
