Former Ghana international Yaw Amankwah Mireku has urged for Inaki Williams to be dropped from the current Black Stars squad.
According to the ex-Hearts of Oak player, the Athletic Bilbao forward has not done enough to keep representing Ghana in the foreseeable future after blanking again during the October international window.
Since his debut against Brazil, the 29-year-old has failed to score in all 11 games for the national team, and his difficulties persist.
Mireku believes Inaki is not worth keeping in the team after watching his performances in the two friendlies against Mexico and the United States of America.
“Since his debut for Ghana, what has he to show? Absolutely nothing,” he said in an interview on Happy FM.
“He is yet to find the back of the net upfront, and other players also deserve a chance to demonstrate their abilities. Inaki needs to be excused from the team because in over nine appearances, he has nothing to show.”
Inaki returns to club football this weekend knowing that he has failed to deliver in a Ghana shirt once again but hope that his performance for Bilbao does not dwindle.
