Paris Saint-Germain will aim to put a disappointing start to the season behind them when they host Strasbourg at the Parc des Princes on Saturday.

PSG return from the international break in third position in Ligue 1 following one of the worst starts to a season under Qatari ownership.

Luis Enrique did some good for the PSG fans by guiding his team to a 3-1 win away at Rennes just before the international break.

The Spanish boss is being watched closely especially after their devastating 4-1 Champions League beating at Newcastle United earlier this month.

That defeat, along with some other really dismal performances, means Enrique still has a lot of work to do to stem the downward trend, and they must especially ensure the league record improves.

Strasbourg keep fighting their way into the top half of the table having also enjoyed a slow start to the 2023/24 season.

They have picked up three wins while losing four in the eight games played so far this season and face PSG looking to be one of the teams to cause an upset.

Despite last season’s 1-1 draw, Starsborg are yet to beat PSG in the league in recent years with their last win in 2017.
