Barcelona manager Xavi Hernandez has lauded youngster Fermin Lopez for his performances in the early stages of the season.
Since bursting onto the scene during the pre-season game against Real Madrid, Lopez is one of the players gradually being integrated into the first team.
The 20-year-old started his third game in all competitions this season when Barcelona hosted Shakhtar Donetsk in their third group game of the UEFA Champions League.
Lopez scored the second goal in the 2-1 victory with his performance getting plaudits from his manager.
“I’m very happy for Fermín. He works very well, he has skills and also helps us a lot. Personally, I like him,” he said after the game against Shakhtar.
“If he believes in himself, he can be a Barça player for many years. He’s dynamic, he has a great shot, he plays with both feet.”
Lopez has two goals all season for the club, scoring one in the Spanish La Liga before his debut Champion League goal on Wednesday night.
