Black Stars trio, Mohammed Kudus, Thomas Partey and Ernest Nuamah have been revealed as nominees for the 2023 CAF Awards scheduled for Morocco next month.
Kudus and Partey were among the nominees named for the Player of the Year award following their impressive outings for both club and country in the year under review.
The West Ham United man starred for Ajax during the 2022/23 season scoring 18 goals and providing five assists in 42 appearances across all competitions.
Kudus was also Ghana’s starman at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar which saw him scored two goals in three appearances as the Black Stars suffered an early exit from the comeptition.
Partey was close to ending Arsenal’s wait for a Premier League title for the first time since the 2003/04 season. He featured in 40 goals for the Gunners and scored three goals in the process with his side finishing second at the end of the season.
Nuamah, having won the Player of the Season and Young Player of the Season in the Danish Superliga also seals a place in the CAF Young Player of the Year category.
The forward’s stellar season saw him seal a summer move to French Ligue 1 side Olympique Lyon.
