Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has revealed Mohamed Salah was never interested in a move to Saudi Arabia last summer.
The Egyptian was one of the names heavily linked with a move to the Saudi Pro League after several European superstars made the step to join Cristiano Ronaldo.
Salah reportedly received a mouthwatering deal to play in the Saudi Pro League but any deal was far from being a reality and Klopp was admitted the player was not keen on a move.
“He never came to me and said he wanted to go. I never thought for a second about it,” he said.
“I don’t know anything about an offer but it’s not important. Mo is here.
“You can see he’s here, he enjoys the team a lot. There’s nothing else.”
Salah has had a strong start to the 2023/24 season for Liverpool so far scoring eight league goals and prividing four assists as well. The forward also has two goals in three appearances in the UEFA Europa League.
