Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has lauded his team’s unity and determination following their victory against Fulham on Saturday
United returned to winning ways after successive 3-0 defeats to Newcastle United and Manchester City and moved up to eighth place on the Premier League table.
The win was a sigh of relief for the manager who had been under scrutiny for the team’s performances for the majority of the season.
Speaking after the game, Ten Hag expressed satisfaction with his side’s performance which saw Bruno Fernandes grab a late winner in the fixture.
“You see this team has a good spirit and they are strong. They fight for each other and I think the whole game, it was solid,” he said.
“On the ball, we took dominance of the game and I think the pressing is not easy against a good side like Fulham. They are very good on the ball but we got the press and control.”
United take on Copenhagen on Wednesday night in their fourth Uefa Champions League group stage game and must pick all three points to stay in the chase for a place in the next round
