Jurgen Klopp says Liverpool should have competed at a higher level after a 1-1 draw with Luton Town on Sunday.
The Reds fought hard to come from behind and snatch a point against the newly promoted side away from home in the game.
Luton Town took the lead through Tahith Chong with 10 minutes to stoppage time before Luis Diaz equalised in the 95th minute to salvage a point for the visitors.
Speaking to the press after the game, Klopp expressed concerned about his team’s outing adding that they could have been ‘better.’
“We should have created more and then we would have finished one or two situations off, and I would have been completely fine with winning here 1-0,” he said.
“I would’ve been very, very happy. But for that, we should have played better”.
Liverpool take on Toulouse on matchday four of their Europa League group stage game with a 100 per cent winning record and could book a place in the next round of the competition with a victory.
