Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino says the eight-goal thriller between his side and Manchester City at Stamford Bridge will improve the team’s desire and experience to compete in many games to come.
Following a convincing 4-1 victory over Tottenham Hotspur last Monday, the Blues did not back down against City in what proved to be one of the best games in the Premier League this season as the Blues managed to share spoils with Pep Guardiola’s men.
Speaking to the press after the game, Pochettino admitted how pleased he was with his side’s progress and courage to battle out the champions in the manner in which they did.
“I’m happy and proud. We still need to improve, yes… but it’s the process when you want to build a project, build a journey,” he said.
“This type of experience will improve our team, now we need to use and translate to the future”.
The Blues sit in 10th place on the League standings and will travel to St James’ Park to face Newcastle on November 25 after the International break.
