Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher says he expects his future at the club to be ‘sorted’ in the coming weeks as he ‘loves’ playing for the club.

The England international’s current deal at Stamford Bridge is set to expire in the summer of 2025 with no talks of an extension yet.

The midfielder was close to being sold this summer but Mauricio Pochettino opted to keep him after turning down offers from Crystal Palace and Everton.

Gallagher has been one of the ever-present players in Chelsea’s lineups this season and has worn the captain’s armband in some games.

While questions about his future continue to be asked, the player says he is not worried about that at the moment.

“I’m sure that will get sorted out,” he told the Guardian.

“Everyone knows Chelsea is my club and I love playing for them — our fans are brilliant and I’m loving it right now. I’m sure it will get itself sorted out.”

Gallagher has started all 12 of Chelsea’s Premier League games this season and has registered four assists in the process.
