Barcelona President, Joan Laporta, has reiterated his support for the club’s manager Xavi Hernandez, to take the team through their current struggles back to their best level.
According to Laporta, the club is fully behind Xavi and his team and is grateful to have him at hand.
Despite enjoying a difficult period in Europe, Xavi led the club to the league title last season beating Real Madrid to it.
Xavi has come under constant criticism following Barca’s recent loss in the Champions League to Shakhtar Donetsk with a section of the fans calling for his exit.
However, Barca’s management led by Laporta insists the manager will remain the coach of the Catalan club with full support to achieve greater success.
“I want to make it very clear that we are totally behind Xavi”.
“It’s a pride to have Xavi as a coach for his professional and human quality,” he said.
Barcelona currently lie third on the Spanish La Liga table after 13 games, four points off the top spot.
