Real Madrid will play to avoid another upset when they face Cadiz away from home on Sunday evening.

With Girona playing on Monday, November 27, Madrid have the opportunity to be at the top of the La Liga table for the next 24 hours.

However, they face a Cadiz side they have struggled to beat in recent times despite a 2-0 victory last season.

Carlo Ancelotti’s men are yet to lose away from home against Cadiz in their history, winning four of the five meetings while drawing the other.

Cadiz’s only win over Madrid came in 2020 when Anthony Lozano scored the lone goal in a 1-0 win.

Madrid find themselves two points away from the top spot but are keenly followed by Atletico Madrid who are just a point behind them.

Cadiz sit 16th on the league table with 10 points amassed from 12 games and have a game in hand. They are also without a win in their last five league games having lost four.

Madrid, on the other hand, have three wins in their last five games and two draws as well.
