A blockbuster clash sees Tottenham Hotspur host Aston Villa in North London on Sunday afternoon in the battle between fourth and fifth in the Premier League.

An out-of-form Tottenham side will look to turn their woes around after two consecutive losses to Chelsea and Wolverhampton Wanderers prior to the international break.

However, Aston Villa returned to winning ways after a 3-1 victory at home a fortnight ago following a disappointing 2-0 loss to Nottingham Forest.

Tottenham had had a fine run in the league and were table toppers until a humbling 4-1 defeat to Chelsea before their loss at Molineux.

The hosts had been afforded numerous injuries with marksman James Maddison sidelined until January next year.

The visitors, however, have the upper hand in their last five matches against Tottenham Hotspur with three wins as the Lilywhites hold two in the period.

Unai Emery’s men have only one defeat in their last six Premier League matches and are expected to further sink Tottenham.

A victory for either side could see them edging closer to the top of the table.
