Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho insists he was left in shock after scoring an incredible overhead kick in the Red Devils’ 3-0 win over Everton.
The 19-year-old scored an early contender for the Premier League Goal of the Season as United moved to sixth position on the league table.
The Argentine scored from a cross from Diogo Dalot to open the scoring in the third minute before Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial also added their names to the scoresheet.
Speaking to the press after the game, Garnacho expressed his amazement over scoring one of the goals of the season contenders.
“I can’t believe it to be honest. I said: oh my God!”
“I can’t believe it to be honest. I didn’t see how I scored, I just listened to the crowd… it’s still November, but probably one of the goals of the season”, he told Sky Sports.
The Argentine winger was named the Player of the Match at Goodison Park before going off early in the second half.
Garnacho is expected to return to the lineup once again with United facing Galatasaray on matchday five of the UEFA Champions League in midweek.
