AC Milan host Borussia Dortmund in a highly anticipated battle at the San Siro on Tuesday night in the UEFA Champions League.

The hosts sit in third place in Group F after toppling Paris Saint-Germain earlier this month and are just two points behind Dortmund who are toppers of Group F following back-to-back victories over Newcastle United.

Stefano Pioli’s men know another victory at home would leave them within touching distance of making the knockout phase in successive campaigns.

Dortmund have gone four straight Champions League home matches without conceding as goals from Niclas Fullkrug and Julian Brandt were enough to secure maximum points against Newcastle in Germany.

Heading into this crunch clash at San Siro, a victory would see the visitors record a third straight win in the Champions League for the first time since 2020 and boost their hopes of qualifying to the last 16.

A narrow 1-0 win over Florentina at home courtesy of a Theo Hernandez finish from 12 yards was enough to grab all three points for the Rossoneri heading into this heavily anticipated clash.

Meanwhile, Dortmund came from behind to beat Borussia Monchengladbach in a six-goal thriller at home and will be confident of staying top of Group F after their fifth group game.

The big miss for the hosts will be Rafael Leao who is out due to a thigh injury while the visitors will also be without Felix Nmecha on Tuesday night.

Kickoff is scheduled for 20:00 GMT.
