I am happy at Barcelona – Joao Felix on leaving Atletico

Joao Felix has insisted he is enjoying his time at Barcelona having joined the club during the summer transfer window.

The Portugal international joined the club on loan from Atletico Madrid having played for Premier League side Chelsea the season before.

Felix has struggled to excel at the Madrid-based club since joining from Benfica and has also had challenges with Atletico manager Diego Simeone.

In an interview, the forward was quizzed about his time with the Blaugrana club so far and how it’s going.

“I’m so happy at Barça. I’m adapting so well, I feel good and same for my family,” he said,

“We will see what happens in 2024.”

Felix also aimed a dig at Atletico’s playing style in the interview.

“For sure I prefer this style at Barcelona…me as every player. If you ask every player, if you ask the players from Atlético, too, they would prefer to play more time on the attack,” he told ESPN.

“If they don’t answer that, they are lying.”

Atletico face Barcelona in La Liga this weekend with Felix expected to feature in the game.
