Sheffield United welcome Liverpool to Bramall Lane on Wednesday night in a crunch Premier League clash.

With only five points after 14 matches in the league this season, Sheffield sacked manager Paul Heckingbottom after a disappointing 5-0 defeat to Burnley last weekend and have reunited with Chris Wilder ahead of the clash.

Liverpool however approach this match with confidence after a stunning 4-3 comeback win over Fulham at Anfield last weekend with Trent Alexander-Arnold and Alexis Mac Allister scoring stunners.

The Reds will look to close in on leaders Arsenal in the title race, knowing they are undefeated against the hosts in their last four matches.

Sheffield United have registered only one win this campaign, with two draws and have suffered 11 defeats from 14 matches.

With only four points away from escaping the red zone, the hosts will be hoping for a positive result against an in-form side to get closer to turning their season around.

The Blades have failed to keep a clean sheet this campaign and Liverpool’s firing attack will look to extend that feat.

The big miss for the hosts will be Oli McBurnie who is out of the clash after being sent off against Burnley last weekend.

Meanwhile, the new injury concern for the Reds will be Joel Matip who was forced off with a knee problem in last weekend’s seven-goal thriller with Fulham.

Liverpool are without defeat in their last six league matches and will be relentless in their pursuit of all three points against Sheffield United on Wednesday night.

The clash comes off at 19:30 GMT.
