Everton vs Chelsea prediction, odds and preview

Everton host Chelsea at Goodison Park in the search for a third successive victory on Sunday afternoon.

A 3-0 demolition of Newcastle last weekend was enough to move the Merseyside Blues off the drop zone despite a 10 point deduction this season.

Chelsea however suffered a 2-1 defeat to long-term rivals Manchester United in midweek and will be hopeful of bouncing back to winning ways at Goodison Park this Sunday.

The Blues sit in 10th place on the league standings after 15 matches while the hosts lie in 17th place on the league table.

With four wins in their last six Premier League matches, Everton look the better side ahead of the clash, meanwhile, Chelsea can only boast of two wins in the period approaching this game.

Although Mauricio Pochettino’s men have lacked consistency in the league, the visitors will be confident ahead of the clash, knowing they have only suffered one defeat in their last five matches against Everton.

Everton will most likely be without James Garner, who is suffering from an illness while Chelsea will now have Conor Gallagher available after the midfielder was ruled out due to a suspension against Manchester United.
