Manchester United welcome Bayern Munich to Old Trafford in their final group game of the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday night.

Bayern sit on top of Group A with 13 points and have already booked a place in the last 16 as group toppers while Manchester United sit bottom on the standings with four points after five matches played.

Both teams suffered humiliating defeats over the weekend as Bournemouth edged past the Red Devils in a 3-0 win while the Bavarians were on the back end of a 5-1 defeat against Eintracht Frankfurt.

The reverse fixture back in September saw Bayern get the nod over Erik Ten Hag’s men in a seven-goal thriller in Munich and Tuesday’s clash is expected to be no different.

United gave away a two-goal lead and drew in a six-goal thriller a fortnight ago in Turkey against Galatasaray.

Bayern shared the spoils with Copenhagen in a goalless draw on matchday five and will be confident of seeing out their group matches without a defeat.

A win could see Manchester United qualify should Galatasaray and Copenhagen share the spoils on Wednesday night at the Parken Stadium.

The hosts have only three wins in their last five games in all competitions whereas the Bavarians have suffered only one defeat in the period.

The Premier League side will be boosted by the return of Marcus Rashford from suspension meanwhile Thomas Tuchel may hand Thomas Muller a start in this crunch clash.

Kickoff is scheduled for 20:00 GMT.
