Royal Antwerp vs Barcelona prediction, odds and preview

Barcelona will travel to the Bosuilstadion to take on Royal Antwerp on Wednesday night in their final group game of this season’s UEFA Champions League.

The Catalans are already through to the knockout round of the competition and are table toppers ahead of the clash, while the hosts sit bottom in Group H.

A decisive 2-1 comeback over Porto at home a fortnight ago secured Barcelona’s place in the last 16 for the first time since the 2020/2021 season.

However, Royal Antwerp suffered a fifth successive defeat to Shakhtar Donetsk, ending their European hopes for the season.

Barcelona approach this game on the back of a disappointing 4-2 defeat to La Liga leaders Girona on Sunday night at home and will look to bounce back to winning ways in Belgium come Wednesday night.

The hosts however were 3-1 winners away from home against Cercle Brugge in the Belgium top flight last weekend.

Both teams have three wins in their last six matches, yet, Barcelona remain favorites for Wednesday’s game despite key players like Ilkay Gundowan and Frenkie de Jong expected to miss out on the crunch clash.
