Arsenal host Brighton and Hove Albion at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday afternoon in what is expected to be an intriguing Premier League clash.

The hosts suffered a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Aston Villa last weekend before seeing out a 1-1 draw with PSV in their final group game of the UEFA Champions League.

The Seagulls however played out a 1-1 draw with Burnley last weekend before securing top spot of Group B in midweek with a brilliant 1-0 win over Marseille.

Ten points separate both teams on the league standings as the hosts sit in second place with 36 points after 16 matches, and the visitors lie in eighth place with 26 points.

Roberto de Zerbi’s men will be confident moving into the clash with three wins and a draw in their last five matches against the Gunners, suffering only one defeat in the period.

Mikel Arteta will look to claim all three points for his side come Sunday afternoon, as the hosts have won four of their last six matches in all competitions.

Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli will most likely return to Arsenal’s starting XI after missing out on the PSV clash due to illness.

Meanwhile, former Arsenal forward Danny Welbeck is expected to make the squad for the visitors after sustaining an injury two months ago.

The clash comes off at 2:00pm.
