Chelsea will host Newcastle at Stanford Bridge on Tuesday evening in the Quarter Final of the EFL Cup.

The Blues were 2-0 victors over Blackburn Rovers in the EFL Cup in November while last year’s finalists Newcastle exacted their revenge on champions Manchester United in a 3-0 win.

The hosts approach this game on the back of a 2-0 victory over Sheffield United at home and will be confident of booking a semi-final place on Tuesday night.

Meanwhile, the Magpies were also 3-0 winners over Fulham at St James’ Park on Saturday and look favourites ahead of the clash with two wins and two draws in their last five matches against the Blues, suffering only one defeat.

Chelsea have failed to win in any of their last four matches against Newcastle, with their latest defeat against the Magpies coming in November, in a 4-1 result in the Premier League

Chelsea fans could finally see Christopher Nkunku in action at Stamford Bridge as the Frenchman was named on the bench in their win over Sheffield United on Saturday.

For Newcastle, Kieran Trippier and Alexander Isak are battling unspecified injuries and will require medical assessment to determine whether or not they play a part in this clash.

The game comes off at 8:00 pm.
