Wolfsburg vs Bayern Munich prediction, odds and preview

In the final fixture of 2023, Bayern Munich travel to the Volkswagen Arena to face Wolfsburg in the Bundesliga on Wednesday night.

The Bavarians bounced back to winning ways in style last weekend at home against Stuttgart in a 3-0 win while the hosts edged past Darmstadt in a 1-0 game on Saturday.

The last time Wolfsburg emerged winners over Bayern in the Bundesliga was in January 2015, and former Bayern Munich boss Nico Kovac will look to surprise his former side on Wednesday night.

The visitors however will remain confident of catching up with leaders Bayer Leverkusen in the title race as Thomas Tuchel’s men have suffered only one defeat in their last six matches in Bundesliga.

Led by league top scorer Harry Kane this season, the Bavarians remain favourites for Wednesday’s clash and will be only one point off the top should they grab the much-needed win.

Wolfsburg will have to do without Maxence Lacroix, who is serving a ban for being sent off against Darmstadt last weekend, while Kingsley Coman and Serge Gnabry are out with calf and thigh injuries respectively.

The match comes off at 19:30 GMT.
